Small School Co-Coaches of the Year – Ray Reitz, Jeannette HS

Coach Reitz is on a break-neck pace when it comes to winning. The long-time Jeannette defensive coordinator took over the head coaching position 3 years ago, and has gone 38-4 in that span, a winning percentage of .904. Only Thomas Jefferson’s Bill Cherpak (.931) has a better winning percentage in that same stretch. Reitz won his second WPIAL title as a coach, and reached the state finals for the second straight year, something only 17 other programs have previously done. He’s one of 8 Keystone State coaches to go 16-0 in a season and is averaging just a hair under 13 wins per season.
