Wilmington Area

Written by: on Saturday, August 23rd, 2008

The Greyhounds are a convenient pick most years in District 10, as they have played in 11 District Championship games since 1994, winning eight titles, including the 2007 “AA” championship.  Wilmington is also one of just five known PIAA affiliate schools to play a District Championship game in three different classifications, and is one of three schools to win a District title in three different classes.  Junior Derrick Burns showed signs of potential last season, and will probably be the feature back in the Hounds’ Wing-T scheme, and center Clint DeRosa will be a four-year starter on the line.
