With the disappointing loss to the Lancers of General McLane behind them, the Beavers look to spoil the undefeated season of the Karns City Gremlins to close out their 2015/2016 regular season; a repeat scenario of a year ago.
Karns City is currently ranked 5th in the Western PA football rankings, and honorable mention in the overall state rankings. They are a force to be reckoned with on offense and fast and furious on defense. Their goal – Take away the run and keep the Beavers one dimensional.
The Beavers defense, already thin due to injuries, will have their hands full with the wing T attack of the Gremlins, and the offense will have to account for a speedy Gremlin secondary intent on blanketing one of the top receiving corps in the state. It is time for the younger generation Beaver defenders to step it up behind the leadership of Senior Dom Foradora, Junior Ryan Pasternak and Junior Braden Paulenellie.
On offense, the O-line has shown they can protect their young sophomore quarterback as the typical Beaver air attack continues; while on the ground Braden Paulenellie and Wes Russell are quick and elusive. If the Beavers can balance their attack, they should squeak one out in the land of the Gremlins. DuBois 42, Karns City 35
