Team #4 Erie Cathedral Prep (10)
Written by: David Mika on Tuesday, August 31st, 2010In the Ramblers’ first non-AAAA season of football in God-knows-how-long, Cathedral Prep enjoyed an 11-3 record and a run to the PIAA quarterfinals against West Allegheny. Senior running back Justin Wiley (1,374 rushing yards, 405 receiving yards, 34 total TD scored) returns, as does K Noah Ackerman, S Mario Sanders and OL/DL Jake Geanous. Replacing 1,000/1,000 QB Shyquawn Pullium and ATH Resean Thrower won’t necessarily be easy, but Cathedral Prep shouldn’t miss a beat. Expect a 17th District 10 football championship to come back to Erie come mid-November once again. The Ramblers face a really tough test in Week 6 (Cleveland St. Ignatius), but likely will glide through the District 10 landscape to its 17th district crown in November.
