Pittsburgh Central Catholic OL Logan Dietz issues oral declaration to Bowling Green

As of Thursday evening, Pittsburgh Central Catholic now has five players who have issued declarations to Division-1 FBS collegiate football programs.

Logan Dietz, a 6’6, 275-pound senior and starter on the offensive line for the Vikings, issued an oral declaration to Bowling Green Thursday, according to national recruiting service

Dietz held a quintet of scholarship offers, including Bowling Green.  His other offers came from Akron, Old Dominion, Toledo and West Virginia.  Maryland and Pitt had also expressed interest, but not issued a scholarship offer. ranked Dietz as the #56 offensive tackle in the nation for the 2012 recruiting class and rated him as a three-star prospect, trailing J.J. Denman (Pennsbury, Wisconsin, #18), Adam Bisnowaty (Fox Chapel, Pitt, #45) and Chris Muller (Boyertown, Rutgers, #46).

Dietz and the Central Catholic offensive line have helped to pave the way for an offensive unit featuring 1,000-yard rusher Damion Jones-Moore (Toledo recruit) and 1,000-yard passer Perry Hills (Maryland recruit) which is averaging 34.3 points per game. 

Central Catholic is 8-0 and ranked in several national polls, including the #16 slot in the USA-Today’s Super-25 poll.
