Penn Trafford senior Michael Pifer has chosen to further his education and football career by choosing the ultimate sacrifice- he will play football and serve his country at the Naval Academy.
“I had a couple preferred walk on offers from WVU, Pitt, and Penn State. I started to think about navy when they came in the second week of School and made me an offer. So I started researching more about them and there were some worries at first. But as I keep researching I found there to be so many benefits and great things about it!”
“And as a long snapper a pro career is very hard to come by so I wanted to get a great education! And there are not many places that can Equal what navy had to offer! And when I went down on a visit I just loved it! It was amazing! But the final decision maker was talking to their graduating long snapper, Joe Cardona. He told to me so much about everything. So much it’s hard to explain it all. But he made me realize that that was were I was meant to be!”
“I am extremely excited about the opportunity presented to me! Navy will be getting a hard working kid who is always trying to improve. I strive to be the best at everything I do! It’s not always practical but I want to be the best.”
“I was thinking medical but after the visit I’m not 100% sure anymore.”
