Foster Reznor, Grove City (10)

Written by: on Friday, January 25th, 2013

f.reznorHeight: 5’11”

Weight: 185

Class of: 2014

Position(s): RB/DB

2011 Stats: On offense, Reznor rushed for 737 yards on 122 carries and 11 touchdowns. He had 11 catches for 201 yards and five touchdowns.

On defense he had 55 tackles (20 solo), two interceptions, six passes defensed. On special teams he had eight punt returns for 206 yards and one score and five kickoff returns for 126 yards.

He finished with 1,290 total yards and 17 touchdowns.

Career stats: Reznor rushed for 2,028 yards and 28 touchdowns and he caught 26 receptions for 514 yards and seven touchdowns.

On defense he had 81 tackles (40 solo), seven interceptions (two returned for TD’s) and 13 passes defensed.

On Special teams he had 19 punt returns for 326 yards, 16 kickoff returns for 356 yards.

He has 3,364 total yards and 39 touchdowns and his team record is 31-4.

Honors: Region All-Star 1st team DB/2nd team RB; ESPN Radio Sweet 16 All Star Team (All-Purpose Back); Butler Eagle Terrific 22 (Running Back); Erie Times News Breakout Player of the Week (1st round of playoffs); State Farm Insurance Player of the Game 3X

Coaches Note: Reznor lettered as a frosh and scored 8 TD’s on a team that went 11-1, losing to Cathedral Prep in the D10 playoffs.  He scored 14 TD’s his sophomore year on a team that went 11-1, losing to Montour in the state playoffs.  He did, however, score two TD’s in that game.  We lost to Hickory twice this past season, so his career team record is 31-4.  Foster has a good chance to break Grove City’s all-time records for rushing yards and total TD’s, but he needs to have a big senior season.  That should be attainable given the increased touches he will get next year.

Reznor was a Big 33 Prospect last year, and I believe was named to your Pre-Season Players to Watch list.  He was recently profiled and highlighted on Rivals.com.  Foster was previously named a National Underclassmen (NUC) MVP at two combine events at RB his freshman year and WR his sophomore year and was invited and participated in the Ultimate 100 and Top Prospect events at regional and national combines.  He really got on the radar when he ran a 4.14 shuttle his sophomore year at one of these combines.

Reznor plays basketball and run tracks, as well.  When he graduates, he will be a 3-sport, 4-year letter winner, which is a bit unusual anymore in our neck of the woods.

Schools of Interest: Slipper Rock University and he went on recruiting visits this past football season to Penn State (twice); Pitt; Cincinnati; Temple and Bucknell.

  1. Brock says:

I agree with you Lance. They have all but one lineman back from last year, plus Reznor can flat out play.

  2. Lance says:

Grove City is my pick to win District 10-AA. Who agrees?
