Erie Strong Vincent

Written by: on Friday, August 22nd, 2008

Strong Vincent is clearly the second-best team in class “AAA” in the state for 2008, behind, of course, that juggernaut from Jefferson Hills.  The Colonels are in an excellent position to win its fourth District 10 “AAA” championship since 2003 and fifth in school history.  The human blur that is Deonte Flemings will only add to the three additional running backs and mammoth (by District 10 standards) offensive line.  Add in a pair of flankers that each go 6’4 or taller, and you’ve got a formidable opponent dressed in red and black.  Strong Vincent averaged over 280 rushing yards per game a year ago, and expect more of the same in Tom Cacchione’s “flash-and-dash” Wing-T scheme.
