Written by: on Wednesday, November 13th, 2013

duboisThe DuBois Beavers are set to play the Mifflin County Huskies at Mansion Park in Altoona, PA in a District 6-9 AAAA Sub-regional game on Friday, November 15 at 7pm.

The Beavers are seeded number one going into Friday’s game with a 6-4 regular season record with a loss to Slippery Rock 47-28 in week 10. The third place Huskies finished their season 4-6 beating DuBois 21-17 in week one. They went on to overtake State College 27-26 in the first round of the playoffs last week. DuBois lost to the State College Little Lions last season at Mansion Park by the score of 35-13. The Beavers plan to go further than the second round this year.

Some Beaver players are ready and excited to take on the Huskies, determined to come out with a win.

Senior DB Austin Gahr said, “There are definitely some hard feelings still against the Huskies. We can take them and we will come out with a victory. We worked a little on some new stuff that they won’t see coming.”

Junior WR Bryson Paulinellie commented, “I’m glad we are playing them. We need to get our “revenge.” We have gotten a lot better since week one. We have a lot of new plays to throw at them. Our major focus is to win this week’s game and then move on from there.”

It is predicted to be a cold one Friday night with temperatures in the mid-30s. Fans should dress warm but this game is going to be a hot one.
