District 6 Week 7
Written by: Bryan Lemmer on Wednesday, October 8th, 2008
Central Cambria Red Devils (2A 4-2) at Bishop Guilfoyle Marauders (1A 4-2)
The Red Devils made a Big Statement last week by Shutting-Out previously undefeated Forest Hills (27-0).
The Marauders on the road last week needed Over-Time to defeat (2A 0-6) Bedford.
Everett Warriors (D5-1A 5-1) at Mount Union Trojans (1A 5-1)
The Warriors are a 4-Point Lose at State Ranked Bellwood-Antis away from a perfect record. The Everett
Defense has given up 26 Points Total in the 4 games since. The Trojans are a 1-Point Opening Week Lose
to (2A 3-3) Huntingdon away from an unblemished season. The Mount Union Defense is allowing 6.7
Points Per Game.
Hollidaysburg Golden Tigers (3A 5-1) at Wilson Tigers (DCIAA 4A 4-2)
The Golden Tigers Beat (4A 1-4) Woodson also out of the DCIAA earlier this year. Despite the Records
Woodson is supposed to be a better Team than Wilson.
Johnstown Trojans (3A 4-2) at Bishop McCort Crushers (1A 6-0)
This is the Main Rivalry in the City of Johnstown and will be played at the Point Stadium. The Crushers
have Won 6 of the last 7. The Trojans would like nothing better than to Blemish their Neighbors Perfect
Laurel Valley Rams (1A 4-2) at Homer Center Wildcats (1A 4-2)
This Game is for District 6 Play-Off Positioning. These two teams are currently #8 and #9 in the 1A points
Standings. It appears the Wildcats had a Let-Down last week against United after pounding Blairsville the
week before. The Rams easily handled United earlier this year but struggled last week in a (8-12) lose at
home to Northern Cambria.
Penn Cambria Panthers (3A 4-2) at Forest Hills Rangers (2A 5-1)
Other than a Week 3 (14-13) Win over Central Cambria the Panthers haven’t shown much. Likewise the
Rangers only have had one Notable Win this year, (3A 4-2) Johnstown. The Rangers are coming off a
(0-27) Rout at the above Red Devils.
