2017 Offensive Outlook: With few returning starters our senior leaders, QB Kyle Fitzroy and OT Joe Sodowsky will have to lead our young and very talented group to be successful. With the loss of Duane Brown to graduation our offense will be have to rely on spreading the ball around to keep defenses off balance. Kyle’s experience running the offense as a 3 year starter will be a major key. We have young skill guys that have been waiting for their opportunity and will be provided a chance to see what they can do. Their roles will be defined during pre-season camp.
2017 Defensive Outlook: We possess the pieces to be a good defense. We have toughness and playmakers at each level. Our key will be to blend our young guys in with our veterans and develop depth that can sustain us throughout a season. Senior DT Joe Sodowsky and Senior LB Cody Peace, who is returning from injury, have shown the grit that can make us a good defense. Our young inexperienced players will have to adopt their demeanor for us to be successful.
2017 Special Teams Outlook: We’ll have to use pre-season camp to find our PK and Punter. We have a player who’s 2 older brothers have kicked for us in the past. From our younger very athletic kids we’ll have a chance to find guys who can kick and punt.
Returning kicks and punts will be handled by Alex Gamble, Cade Gguric, Jake Fello.
Snapping the ball will either be Cody Peace, Jon Shelkey, or Dom Reiter.
