One of Woodland Hills’ athletes from a talent-laden 2010 defensive unit has verbally committed to a school from the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Quinton Jefferson, a 6’4, 230-pound defensive end, verbally committed to Maryland today, according to Scout.com. Jefferson had also received offers from Cincinnati, Iowa and Pittsburgh, among other schools.
Jefferson was one of four Woodland Hills players named to Pennsylvania’s roster for July’s Big-33 Football Classic in Hershey. He was part of a Wolverine defensive unit that allowed an average of 12.1 points per game and held eight of 13 opponents to seven points or less.
In the last two seasons, Jefferson was part of a Woodland Hills program that finished 21-6 overall and played in consecutive WPIAL AAAA championship games at Heinz Field.
