Playoff Talk Class A Week 14

Clairton

Clairton’s Deontae Howard went over 2,000 yards rushing for the season against Conemaugh Township. His 45-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter put him over the milestone. His team went on to walloped Conemaugh Township 46-0 in a PIAA Class A western quarterfinal game.

Howard now has 2,041 yards and 34 touchdowns this season so far.

Quarterback Desimon Green completed 6 of 11 passes for 153 yards and two scores.

Wide receiver Kevin Weatherspoon caught four passes for 107 yards, including a 75-yard touchdown.

Clairton held Conemaugh Township to 51 yards of offense and three first downs. They posted their eighth shutout this season.

Clairton (13-1) plays Farrell (14-0)

Farrell

Farrell edges Clarion Area 19-14 in a PIAA Class A western semifinal game. With the win Farrell gets a rematch with WPIAL kingpin Clairton. Clairton defeated Farrell 24-21 in the Western finals last season.

Jamar Whitman rushed for 152 yards on 16 carries and two touchdowns. Danny Odem passed for 34 yards, including a one-yard score.

Farrell (14-0) plays Clairton (13-1)
