Playoff Talk Class AA Week 13

Forest Hills

With the winds and snow whipping it would be hard for any kicker to kick successfully. Kicker Patrick Donoughe had already missed a 23-yard field goal and an extra point in the game. But with time running down Donaughe kicked a 27-yard field goal to break the tie and give his team a 17-14 win over Tyrone.

Running back Nick Dudukovich rushed for 235 yards on 29 carries. Jeff Meier added 103 yards on 22 carries.

Forest Hills rushed for 346 yards on the ground.

Forest Hills (13-0) plays Wilmington (12-1).

Wilmington

Wilmington shut out Sharon 19-0 to win its 4th consecutive District 10 title. This was their 10th District title.

Sutton Whiting rushed for 117 yards on 17 carries and three touchdowns. He also had 39 yards receiving.

Derrick Burns added 51 yards rushing.

Wilmington (12-1) plays Forest Hills (13-0).

Bedford

Bedford extended its postseason run with a 28-26 triple overtime victory over Karns City in a Class 2A first round playoff game.

After losing five of their first six regular season games, they have won their last four games.

Marcus Shippey rushed for 75 yards on 15 carries. He passed for 81 yards and was 5 of 12 passing.

Paul Detwiler added 63 yards rushing.

Bedford (7-6) plays Greensburg Central Catholic (11-2).

Greensburg Central Catholic

Greensburg Central Catholic defeated Aliquippa 33-7 to win their first WPIAL football title.

Running back David Miller rushed for 203 yards and three touchdowns.
