About Strong Vincent: The Colonels love to run the football, as evidenced by their average of 349 rushing yards per contest.  But through the first two games of the 2008 season, Strong Vincent has posted an even more impressive statistic:  the red and black have run the ball 68 times for 698 yards, an average of 10.27 yards per carry.


Darrell Brooks leads the way with 12 rushes for 167 yards and four touchdowns.  Jordan Ferraro (17, 161, 2), Deonte Flemings (9, 81, 1), Ladon Miller (7, 79, 2), Emari Tangle (6, 80, 1), Tony Akins (6, 46, 2), and Jarod Tracy (2, 57) help contribute to the Vincent flash-and-dash Wing-T, which averages 51 points per game.


The Colonels have only attempted 10 passes this season, completing four for 93 yards with a touchdown and an interception.  Both Flemings and DJ Barney have seen time at quarterback.


About Franklin Area: The Knights won an offensive shootout with Erie East in Week 1 (35-28), but lost a close one to upstart Corry Area in Week 2.  In the loss to Corry, the Knights allowed 76 rushing yards and 263 yards through the air.


The Knights possess a potent pass-catch duo in quarterback Julian Westad and All-state wide receiver Tyler Bittner.
